Build Intentionally. Grow Sustainably. Care Deeply.

Starting a private practice can feel exciting...and overwhelming.

Most therapists leave graduate school knowing how to support clients, but very few of us are taught how to build a business. We're left piecing together information from Facebook groups, podcasts, YouTube videos, and well-meaning colleagues, often wondering if we're missing something important.

The Calm Mind Collective was created to change that.

This is a 12-week mentorship and implementation program designed to help you build a private practice with intention—not through hustle, but through thoughtful decisions, practical systems, and the support of a community that's building alongside you.

By the end of the program, you won't just understand how to build a practice—you'll have one.

What You'll Build

Over twelve weeks, you'll intentionally create the foundation of a sustainable private practice, including:

  • A clear vision and values for your business

  • A defined niche and ideal client

  • Your business structure and legal foundation

  • A professional brand identity

  • A website that reflects your work

  • Marketing materials and referral resources

  • Financial systems inspired by Profit First

  • Client communication templates and workflows

  • Sustainable business systems that reduce overwhelm

  • A personalized roadmap for continued growth

Most importantly, you'll build confidence—not because someone handed you a formula, but because you've thoughtfully built your own.

How it Works

Each week follows the same simple rhythm, allowing you to focus on one meaningful step at a time.

Learn

At the beginning of each week, you'll receive a short teaching (about 15–20 minutes) introducing that week's topic. Instead of hours of video lectures, these lessons focus on the concepts that matter most so you can spend less time watching and more time building.

You'll also receive worksheets, templates, checklists, and curated resources to guide you through the process.

Individual Coaching

Every practice owner receives a weekly 30-minute one-on-one coaching session.

This is your space to ask questions, troubleshoot challenges, review your progress, and receive personalized guidance based on your goals, experience, and state's licensure requirements. No two private practices look exactly alike, and your mentorship shouldn't either.

Build

Each week includes one Build Project—a hands-on milestone designed to move your practice forward.

One week you might define your niche. The next, you'll establish your business, write your website copy, open your business bank accounts, create your referral materials, or build your financial systems.

These aren't hypothetical exercises. They're the real building blocks of your practice.

The Collective

Once a week, we'll gather for a live 90-minute session.

We'll begin with a focused teaching on a topic that impacts all of us as practice owners—whether that's navigating imposter syndrome, setting sustainable boundaries, ethical marketing, or designing a business that supports your life.

The remainder of our time is spent in conversation.

We'll celebrate wins, workshop challenges, exchange ideas, answer questions, and learn from one another's experiences.

Because one of the greatest gifts of private practice shouldn't be independence—it should be community.

Disclaimer:

The Calm Mind Collective is business mentorship, not clinical supervision, legal advice, tax advice, or consultation on state licensure requirements. While I'm always happy to share my experience and point you toward helpful resources, you'll be responsible for verifying any legal, financial, or licensing requirements with the appropriate professionals or governing agencies.

Our goal is to create Collective meetings where everyone leaves with new ideas, practical takeaways, and the reminder that they're not building their practice alone.
